Wow - we've gotten such an amazing response since our most recent communication! There are few items and frequently asked questions, so we want to follow-up with you now!
Updated: Pool Hours! Our Pool season officially begins Memorial Day Weekend and runs through Labor Day. While School is in session, the pool is open for weekends only, then moves to 7 days a week at the conclusion of the school year. This year, 7-day a week pool hours will begin on June 25th and run through September 5th. Here are the hours you can expect this season:
Weekends and Holidays: 11am-5:30pm Weekdays: 10am-5:30pm with Wednesdays and Fridays open until 7:30pm!
Please note, these hours are different than the hours we shared with you earlier this week! We hope this is good news!
Hours are subject to change, of course - but don't worry! We'll email, facebook - and/or send a "laden swallow"/carrier pigeon to make sure you get the message!
Guest Passes If you received Guest Passes as part of our Early Bird payment benefit, you can pick up your passes at the club during pool hours. Better Yet? We can now accept Credit Card Payments for onsite Guest Pass Purchases! Woo Hoo!
Jobs and Opportunities at the Pool We have a few possible Jobs at the Pool and the response has been awesome! To summarize and clarify the opportunities and positions at the pool:
Site Managers - $15.00+ per hour The perfect opportunity for a college student home for the summer! Candidates will be trained in pool testing, lifeguard rotation, open and closure procedures, etc. You must be able to lift up to 25lbs and have mobility to crouch, bend, push/pull, etc. If you know someone with a great attitude/work ethic and loves people email Mike Ingui: mingui@cmspools.com.
Lifeguards - $13.75+ per hour (15 years or older) You can apply directly through Candlewood by contacting Mike Ingui: mingui@cmspools.com.
Front Desk - $13.00+ per hour (14 years or older with working papers) We're looking for two front desk team members for this paid position. Please email mhswimclub@gmail.com and we'll make sure we get the process started for you. Interviews are being scheduled over the next few days because we plan to move FAST!
Volunteering - $kills that last a lifetime (and "feel good feelings!"). Looking for a way to support our community? Or, are you interested in possibly coming to work for the pool next year but want to get a lay of the land? Students 13+ are welcomed to join us this summer and learn the ropes.
Volunteering is a great way to get a sense of how a community pool operates and learn a little bit of everything in a "small business" environment! We've been overwhelmed by the number of young teens eager to start work, but the law in NJ is 14+ to earn a wage. Volunteering is a great way to learn responsibility, commitment, and the importance of community!
Teens (and adults!) can let us know their interest in volunteering by sending us a quick email at mhswimclub@gmail.com.
Outside Food Delivery Services In support of our concession vendor, Pool Bites, we will not be allowing outside food deliveries at the pool. Candlewood Management staff will stop you if you attempt to collect a food delivery and bring into the Pool area. Pool Bites has relationships with many local providers - feel free to speak with them about any particular favorites you have!
Please respect the Rules - and each other! We wish this paragraph didn't have to be included, but include it we shall.
Our onsite Management team, Candlewood Pool Services, is the first and last authority for onsite issues at the pool. We have empowered them to enforce our pool rules, handle onsite escalations, and alert us to any situations where homeowners, sponsored families (or their guests) break the rules or engage in dangerous or abusive behavior.
To be clear, Monmouth Heights has a zero tolerance policy for abusive language, threats, and/or intimidation from any visitor at the Monmouth Heights Pool. We understand that we live in a day and age where people do not like to be told what they "can" and "cannot do", but simply put: These are the rules. Our status as "pool owners" does afford us the right, individually, to define the rules as we see fit - the Board defines the rules as elected Trustees on behalf of the neighborhood. When you enter the facility, you agree to the rules we've defined. If you do not abide by them, you will be asked to leave.
Guests of the Pool (resident and non-resident) who are verbally or physically abusive toward other guests or onsite Staff may lose season privileges. If your personal guests are guilty of such behavior, you may lose the right to bring guests onto the property.
Be kind to each other. Respect each other. Build a community together - and enjoy the pool!
